When I first started substitute teaching, I quickly realized something: substitutes are often expected to “just figure it out.” We’re handed the keys, a lesson plan (if we’re lucky), and told, “Good luck!” But the truth is, substitute teaching is one of the most important — and most challenging — roles in education. It deserves real preparation, professional respect, and a community that understands the work we do.

That’s why I created Certified Sub — to change that story.
