Game of the Week: 4 Corners

If you’ve ever had exactly five minutes left in class and needed something fun, fast, and chaos-free, 4 Corners is your new best friend.

Here’s how it works:
  1. Label each corner of the room with a number or category.
  2. Choose one person to be the caller.
  3. The caller closes their eyes and slowly counts down from 10 while the others quietly move to ANY corner.
  4. When the caller reaches 0, they point or call a corner (eyes closed), and everyone in that corner sits OUT. Repeat until there is only 1 person left.

Pro tip: instead of students sitting out if their corner is called, ask them a quick question tied to your lesson—vocabulary, math operations, character traits, geography, etc.

It’s quick. It gets kids moving. And it turns leftover minutes into high-energy learning instead of end-of-class drift.
